Feds New Airfare Rules: More info for you!

The Federal Department of Transportation has issued proposed new rules that will require air carriers to provide better information about add-on fees such as baggage charges, and will extend the rules to more airlines, and also to travel agencies that have had looser requirements.

The rules will also require upfront disclosure of the operating airline on code-share flights, and require agencies to hold itineraries for 24 hours, the same as airlines. Details HERE from USA Today.

This seems like good news at a time when the airlines have been pushing a "transparency" bill in Congress that would allow the airlines to hide the final cost until the last second before clicking "buy."

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
