FAA Orders Safety Fix for 767

The FAA has given Boeing and airlines 6 years to fix a possible problem with tail elevators on 767 that could jam and cause loss of control. The problem's been known for several years; frequent safety inspections have been done to identify any developing problems. Now that FAA has certified Boeing's permanent fix, it will be installed on all affected planes. DETAILS
