Europe: EV charging networks growing

With France celebrating the installation of its 100,000th charging point for electric vehicles, Europe's roads are moving away from one of the big drawbacks for many potential purchasers: range anxiety.

Along with the French milestone, which makes it Europe's #2 in available charging stations, the Netherlands has 125,000 and Germany 85,000.

France now has 650,000 electric vehicles on the road, and 13% of last year's sales were EVs. However, the charging stations continue to be clustered in and around cities and the main Autoroutes, meaning that more needs to be done before electric vehicles are practical in rural areas.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
