Eiffel vs Eiffel: Different visitor rules

Visiting the Eiffel Tower now requires a Covid-19 health pass for visitors who want to ride to the top—if you're in Paris. In Las Vegas, which has a half-size replica, you're free to go, unmasked and unvaxxed.

In France, which is fighting to get ahead of a wave of the Delta variant, is requiring visitors to the tower, to museums, theaters and finally restaurants to show an official pass showing that they are either vaccinated, tested, or recovered recently from Covid.

The Commissioners of Nevada's Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, are also facing rising infection rates, but decided against imposing a mask mandate for people strolling the strip or gathering in crowded places. Instead, it voted to require employees to wear masks in indoor public spaces like stores, malls and clubs.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
