Disneyland. Every day. For 8 years.

Meet Jeff Reitz, new holder of a Guinness World Record you likely never knew existed. He's now, at 2995 days, the man with the most consecutive daily visits to Disneyland, in Anaheim, California, a string that started on New Year's Eve 2012.

Reitz and his friends, who were out of work at the time, but had been given annual passes for Disney as gifts, decided to keep going as a source of free entertainment. By February 29, 2012, when Disney publicized the extra day in the year as an "extra day of Disney," Reitz's 60-day perfect attendance record was noted by media.

To keep it going, Reitz pledged to spend an hour in the park each day and post his experiences on social media. “Sometimes I would just go and walk around and do photography. It wasn’t always about getting on the attractions depending on what was going on. Why not walk around and enjoy the sights and sounds at Disneyland and the fireworks overhead instead of just walking around a track or on a treadmill inside?”

He told SF Gate that although he got to know numbers of Disney cast members he seldom got preferential treatment, but did get recognition from Disney after 366 days and 2000 days. The streak came to an end when the park closed for the pandemic. He hasn't been back since re-opening, but plans to return this year—with his Guinness certificate—for pictures.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
