Delta's A220 has 'loo with a view'

In what may be a first for an airline, Delta's new A220-100s feature a full-size window in the lavatory, possibly easing anxiety for people uncomfortable in small closed spaces.

It's not the only interior feature of the new planes, due to go into service in January on a number of routes; there are also oversize overhead bins, individual power outlets, wider than usual seats and large windows.

The planes, originally designed as the Bombardier C-Series have features to make the airline happy, too. It's expected to burn 20% less fuel than some of its predecessors as well as being able to operate on some routes now served only by regional jets.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
