Pelicans, Whitemouth Falls Provincial Park, Manitoba

American White Pelicans are one of the largest birds in North America, with a body length of up to 5 feet and a 9-foot wingspan.  They may live up to 30 years.  These pelicans are largely not ocean birds, living mostly inland on freshwater fish, crayfish and salamandars.
