Danish polar bear gets cold shoulder, moves on

True love doesn't always last, even for polar bears.

The Scandinavian Wildlife Park in Djursland, Denmark, is getting a new attraction, as Ivan the Polar Bear joins a new family after his divorce from Noel, who will continue to live at the Copenhagen Zoo.

Copenhagen Zoo spokesman Bengt Holst told the press the relationship had become a bad one, and not good for either. Ivan got the cold shoulder. And, Holst said of Noel, she "tries to avoid the male. And that’s a problem. She often swims back and forth in the enclosure because she is stressed,"

In remarks he might come to regret, the CEO of the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, says he "looks forward to welcoming Ivan with open arms."

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
