Congratulations to Ian Cook!

We were pleased to learn this past week that frequent TravelGumbo contributor and wonderfully talented photographer, Ian Cook, received some important recognition for his work. As Ian is an important part of our travel community, we wanted to share this with you.

Ian's macro image of a Whites Tree Frog (pictured above) has just done itself proud, 1st place! For those interested, technical info is :- Nikon D3x, 90mm Macro lens. ISO 200, 1/250 sec @ f/16. RAW. Lit with four Elinchrom flash units. Two overhead in a giant soft box, two either side on reduced power to act as fill light. Image processed in Photoshop CC.

Also, Ian's photo of a New Caledonian Crested Geko image got highly commended. Congratulations!
