Brexit or no, EasyJet maps France growth

EasyJet, one of the biggest budget carriers in the European Union, is a British company, but it doesn't plan to let Britain's exit from the EU stop its growth in France and across Europe.

While the terms of Brexit are still to be determined, it's possible that UK airlines will lose their right to be part of the 'single European sky' that allows EU airlines to fly anywhere within the EU. Since 20% of EasyJet's passengers originate or end their trips in France and 10% of its fleet and staff are based there, that could be a major issue.

EasyJet's chief for France announced last week that they are adding two more planes based in France, add 72 jobs, and add routes to the schedules, although he didn't specify what routes. EasyJet currently has 15 planes based at Paris airports, 7 at Lyon and 3 each in Toulouse and Nice.

The company is also planning to obtain an air operator certificate in France or another EU country to preserve its access.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
