And it wasn't even GPS that led him wrong...

 

There have been many stories of people driving into lakes following wrong advice from GPS, but this one involved a more human guidance error.

An elderly couple trying to park their car near Basel's railroad station made a wrong turn into what the passenger assured the driver was the entrance to the carpark. It wasn't

In fact it was a fairly steep set of stairs down to the station Post Office, as the driver quickly...but too late...realized. Amazingly, they were unharmed, although there was damage to the steps, and the car had to be winched up to remove it.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
