American Eagle Changes Name, But You Won't Notice...

American Airlines' regional subsidiary American Eagle is getting a new name: Envoy Airlines. The new name is to distinguish it from the other American Eagle, the name used for the flights operated for American by independent regional carriers such as Skywest and Republic.

Under the new plan, those independents, and Envoy, and the independents that have been flying as US Airways Express, will all be branded as American Eagle. And Envoy will appear as the operating carrier just as the others do now. So...unless you check the fine print on the boarding pass, or the small print near the cockpit...you'll never know except by reading about it HERE
