Airport shops to feature 'Grab and Go'

If you've ever stood in a slow-moving crowded line in an airport shop, waiting to pay for a pack of gum or a magazine while the clerk deals with someone's questions, currency issues or more, and sweating whether you have time to wait and still catch your flight, you'll love this one.

OTG, a major airport shop operator is moving to Amazon's 'Just Walk Out' platform. Wave a card, no lines, keep moving.

Tested in a number of Amazon's small test stores, the technology allows a user to swipe into the store with a credit card, make selections from the shelf and just walk out with them. The system records the selections on the fly and charges them to the credit card.

OTG will roll the technology out at its CIBO Express food and beverage shop in Newark's Terminal C next Monday, with other Newark and LaGuardia shops to follow. Eventually the company expects to spread it out to its 100 stores at ten major airports.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
