A Comfort Zone for Adventurous Travel

Travelers looking for an adventure trip often have in mind the places they'd like to go, but planning and booking trips like can be outside many people's comfort zone, dealing with unfamiliar places, suppliers and much more.

But there's help at the hands of specialists who know the ropes, and it may be a worthwhile choice even for people used to planning their own itineraries. I've been to a lot of places—49 states, 55 countries, six continents, and counting!—and I'd like to recommend my go-to adventure travel company.

Morocco

Advertisements and press releases always promote companies, but with Exodus Travels, you can count my voice as another positive report without prejudice. My own Exodus experiences took me to Morocco, Greece, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Jordan.

This adventure company is a fine example of what a dedicated staff, including tour guides, can do to make your next vacation one you will always look back on with positivity.

Their latest tour offerings are in partnership with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) called Exodus RCGS Quests.

The small group tours help answer the adventurous spirits seeking opportunities to challenge themselves and expand their perspectives. The 2022 adventures offer even more opportunities to discover, learn, and explore while accompanied by world-renowned explorers, authors, photographers, and conservationists.

Egypt

"We're honored to be once again partnering with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society," says Robin Brooks, Exodus' Marketing Director and RCGS Fellow. "After over a year and a half of staying put and staying safe, our appetite and humankind's innate instinct to explore is stronger than ever."

"Further understanding of people and places, cultural heritage, and the natural environment is what contributes to the strength of the global travel community," adds John Geiger, RCGS CEO.

That said, where will these trips take adventure travelers in 2022?

Egypt: This adventure with explorer, filmmaker, photographer, and RCGS Explorer-in-Residence, George Kourounis, includes Cairo, Alexandria, Abu Simbel, Philae Temple, Aswan High Dam, Kom Ombo, Edfu, ending in Luxor with a trip to the Valley of the Kings.

Kenya

Kenya: Travel with RCGS Photographer-in-Residence, Scott Forsyth to Lake Nakuru National Park, including a lake cruise, Masai Mara, and a sunrise balloon trip. You'll have a chance to see giraffes, elephants, hippos, leopards, lions, wildebeests, gazelles, water buffalos, cheetahs, and so much more.

Morocco: The expert on this trip is reporter and television producer Aliya Jasmine Sovani. Visits to Marrakech, Meknes, and Fez, the Sahara Desert while riding a camel ride, a Bedouin camp, picturesque villages in the High Atlas Mountains, and the fishing port of Essaouira.

South Africa

South Africa: Adventure explorer, author, and speaker, Mario Rigby, known for completing a solo two-year, 7,500-mile voyage from Cape Town to Cairo entirely by foot and kayak, will use his expertise to guide this adventure through South Africa as well as Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe including several game drives and Victoria Falls.

Albania

Albania: Previously isolated until the collapse of the People's Socialist Republic in 1991, lecturer and RCGS CEO John Geige will guide travelers to snow-capped mountains, beaches, and rural villages. Each day is filled with discoveries from views of the Gramos Mountains, forgotten ancient Greek sites in Llogora National Park, and the narrow-cobbled streets of UNESCO-listed Berat.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica: Led by adventure influencer and Director at Canadian Geographic and the RCGS, Andrew Lovesey, guests will go tubing and zip-lining, visit the beach, relax in mineral-rich hot springs and mud baths, and see nocturnal creatures on a night walk through the forest.

Nepal: Journey to the Roof of the World with RCGS photographer and Canadian Geographic Creative Director Javier Frutos. The adventure brings guests to the cultural meccas of Bhaktapur and Kathmandu and a chance to see the incredible wildlife of Chitwan, including tigers, rhinos, crocodiles, and sloth bears.

I am excited to visit an exotic destination in 2022, and I know Exodus Travels will deliver!
