86 years late, cable car arrives in Toulouse

Toulouse, France finally got its aerial cable car, connecting the Oncopole research center on one side of the Garonne with the university of science and medicine on the other. It was first proposed in 1936.

The original proposal was postponed by World War II, and only recently revived and built. It's France's longest aerial tramway, and cuts a 30-minute car ride between the two to as little as ten minutes.

The Teleo has a capacity of 1500 passengers an hour, and is designed to be able to operate even in high winds.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
