A few years ago we were looking forward to visiting Oahu for Christmas and New Year’s. I wish we were going again this year, but I do have happy memories from that trip. One of the things we enjoyed a lot was the plate lunches and shaved ice. We did have a couple on Waikiki, but the place we enjoyed the most was on the North Shore.
It was a great little placed called Rainbow House Shaved Ice, and I think they had some of the best shaved ice on the island. I was really shocked at all the different flavors they had. We also had the option to add ice cream to it. We didn’t do that, but it was nice to have the option.
I also thought the little house and sitting area was nicely decorated and inviting. I hope to make it back to the North Shore one day soon and can enjoy another shaved ice at the wonderful business. Check it out if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.
