Barcelona in Lego

You can build almost anything, anywhere if you have the patience and enough Lego bricks. On a visit to Barcelona a couple or three years ago, we wandered into a local Lego store and found the proof.

Sagrada Familia (above) might have been finished years ago if Gaudi had used Lego instead of stone and steel.

His intricate benches and walls in Park Guell might have benefited as well…

But for some people, the biggest draw in Barcelona is Camp Nou, home to Barcelona’s perpetually-high-ranking football team. The stadium doesn’t look quite like this anymore—it’s grown a roof and enough more seats to take the capacity from 60,000 soccer fans to 105,000—but no doubt there’s a new Lego model in the works.
