A Barcelona bar owner with only four tables has a new plan to keep the traffic moving: the longer you sit, the more you pay.
According to El Diario, the bar, in the Barceloneta neighborhood, charges €1.60, but warns that if you take longer than a half-hour, the price will rise €2.50. At an hour, the price will be €4.00.
The idea, originally intended as a joke, started from a space dispute among two customers. While it’s gathered some acceptance, it’s also been attacked as ‘theft.’
