Around the World—by Train!

If round-the-world cruises aren’t quite your thing, and the wild rides of Around the World in 80 Days are a bit too much, here’s a chance to circle the globe by train in 100 days. But the price may be, as they say, “a bit too much.”

The all-inclusive small-group trip offered by Adventures by Train goes for £112,900 per person single or £89,950 per person double occupancy. The price includes a tour leader, all accommodation, all transport, guided sightseeing tours, entry fees and “meals as specified.”

The flight-free journey leaves London on 17 March 2026, and tickets are on sale now. The trip will visit 14 countries, including France, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Japan, Canada and the USA.

To link the rail portions, the itinerary includes a sea crossing from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, an overnight ferry from Shanghai to Osaka, a 23-day sailing on Viking Venus from Tokyo to Vancouver, and for the last lap, a trans-Atlantic crossing from New York to Southampton on Queen Mary 2.

“This is not your typical holiday. This is your bucket list,” says the tour operator. Anyone with that many pounds in their bucket is advised to sign up now; it’s limited to 12 guests.
