While we wandered the streets of downtown Baker City, my wife and I came across a number of exotic animals. It would have been more exciting if they’d actually been alive, but these likenesses were impressively made and definitely caught our attention.
On researching this later, it appears this is a display by a Baker City art store known as Art Roamers. They make a point of featuring art, especially pieces created by African artists. The pieces are widely displayed around Baker City and apparently in other Oregon cities as well. The intent, or course, is mostly to sell pieces to support the artists, but also to share the arts with their community. Kudos to them for featuring these creations in this way!
