Traveling along Interstate-20 just west of Shreveport, a great pull-off attraction is the American Rose Center at Exit 5, open all year.

The Gardens are carved out of 118 acres of pine forestland.

It is also the national headquarters of the American Rose Society, a 130-year-old organization with members worldwide and local societies in every state. ARS is the largest single plant society in America.

The gardens are celebrating their 50th anniversary at this location!
