Late every summer the grain crops on the prairies have ripened and are a beautiful golden color. There are tens of thousands of acres that look just like these — grains that feeds a hungry world. I find wheat to be one of the more photogenic crops, partially because I enjoy the wonderful foods made from it. As you can see, it was a good harvest that year. The heads are so heavy they bend the plant.
