Airbnb, which has long since moved past an “airbed’n’breakfast” model with its added ‘Experiences’ in host cities is now about to launch a pickup service to get guests to their lodgings.
Airbnb told The Independent (UK) that “We are regularly testing new product updates, categories and initiatives, in order to provide the best possible experience for our community. As part of that, we’re piloting a scheduled private car transfer service in select cities.”
The service will get a test soon in selected cities, adding to a menu that already includes private chefs, spa treatments and guided tours. Details have not been announced including what cities and how far in advance it would need to be booked, or how prices would compare with other airport pickup services.
