A Piece of Railway History

This seafront café in Swansea, Wales, was once a train station. The world’s very first passenger railway started its service along Swansea Bay in 1807, initially using horse-drawn wagons. The building pictured – the line’s ‘Blackpill’ station – dates from 1927.
