December 12, the day of La Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe, patron saint of Mexico and the Americas is a big day in Mexico, with religious celebrations, children’s parades and more.

Alongside a carnival that sprouted in Oaxaca’s Llano park for the days surrounding the feast day, numbers of booths were set up with animals, creches and flamboyant floral decorations so that children could pose for pictures in their parade costumes.

A group of girls gathered nearby, next to the church dedicated to the Virgin…

A few more stalls featured devotional pictures, especially of the Virgin of Guadalupe, for sale.

Beautiful photos!
