$400K for endless cruise, meals included

Remember Ville Vie Odyssey—the cruise ship that offered a permanent life at sea but had several months of trouble leaving Belfast on its way?

Ville Vie Residences—it doesn’t like to call itself a cruise line—sells apartments on the ship, which is officially on an ‘endless cruise.’ It also offers shorter-term ‘season passes,’ and now has added another option for permanent cruisers: all-inclusive, for $399,000 single or $699,000 double.

They’re calling it ‘Unleashed Endless Horizons,” and they say it “is designed for those who want their retirement years to be filled with new experiences and personal growth—without the stress of inflation or hidden costs.” The fee covers cabin, meals, housekeeping, laundry, internet, spa treatments and medical visits.

For those of you who haven’t been following its progress since it started off, four months late, the ship has cruised the west coast of Europe, called at African ports, cruised the Caribbean and parts of South America and will soon head for the Panama Canal and Alaska.

It sounds like a bargain if you have the money and desire to do it.
