More Doors from Morocco: Marrakech, Essaouira, Tamegroute and Meknes

Over the years as I’ve gained experience in my travels, I’ve started to pay more attention to the details of what I’m looking at.  Among these are portals and the doors that cover them.

A few months back I published a post on some of the doors I encountered during the first part of my visit to Morocco, from Casablanca, Rabat and Fes.  Today we’re completing my Moroccan collection of doors from the more southern aspect of our visit, namely from Marrakech, Essaouira, Tamegroute and Meknes.

I hope you find this collection to be of interest:

Doors from Marrakech:

Doors leading to several merchant shops in the Marrakech Medina. Photo was taken early in the morning, before they were open for business.

The next 8 photos are from the Marrakech Medina.

This door and the following five are from the Bahia Palace.

Madrassa Ben Youssef

Doors of Essaouira:

Doors of Taroudant (all from the Medina):

Doors from Meknes (all from the Royal Palace):

Doors of Tamegroute:
