American Cruise Lines is adding an option to Alaska cruising that its larger competitors with larger ships can’t: an overnight stay in Glacier Bay.
Starting in May, the line will have two of its 170-passenger ships in Alaska waters, offering five cruise and cruisetour options with 25 sail dates. All itineraries include the Glacier Bay overnight, meaning more time to see the area’s tidewater and terrestrial glaciers, search for wildlife in the park’s backwater bays, and learn about the culture of the local Huna Tlingit people.
The itineraries range from 8 to 15 nights; two cruisetours add visits to several national parks as well as the cruise. The cruisetours are 15 to 18 nights.
