My aunt lives on the eastern shore of Vancouver Island. She’s a very sweet-natured women and I’ve visited her a few times over the years.
One day at dusk we were driving and found ourselves near the Comox bird sanctuary, so we stopped to see what was going on. There were lots of trumpeter swans and a mix of ducks around, but equally impressive was the light of the setting sun.
My aunt and I just stood there for about 15 minutes enjoying the birds and the beautiful softening light of evening.
