Statue of La Chola, San Jose

While wandering the streets of San Jose, my wife and I came across an interesting piece of street art on Central Avenue.  It’s a bronze of a well-nourished woman named “La Chola”.  She stands just over 2 meters tall, weighs about 500 kilos, wears sandals and proudly holds her head high.
