Hundreds of passing travellers flock to the beach promenade to watch the ships passing on the River Mersey. At lunchtime most local visitors stay in their cars to eat their packed lunch, but all the newcomers get out and sit on the wooden benches. Then lunchtime takes an entertaining turn as the gulls arrive. They are all eager to help you finish your sandwiches or pies. Or even the ice cream cone you just bought. Man and Nature with a common aim!
