With hotel’s finding their regular business in the dumps these days and with many closing, others have been seeking ways to keep some business going. Last week, for example, we reported on hotels that are offering themselves as quarantine or self-isolation sites.
Red Roof Inns, which was in the news a bit ago for offering special rates to college students forced to leave dorms but unable to return home, has now found another niche for its facilities as alternatives to working from home for those whose homes are too cramped or overrun with family members to work.
The hotel chain is offering day rates for rentals it’s calling ‘Work Under Our Roof,’ with an 8 am check-in time and 6 pm check-out, with rates starting at $29. The deal includes the in-room coffee machine, but no other food services, and is limited to two people per room with no visitors. The company’s press release does not specify what cleaning measures it will use between guests.
