Lots of international travelers go through the ferry terminal in town. With the exception of the two World Wars, Hook of Holland has offered uninterrupted service to eastern England since 1893. The passenger ferry service is operated by the Stena Line and goes to Harwich, England.
During the summer you will see lots of Dutch beach goers coming through town by train and car, to get the 18 km long sand beach. The beach is a short walk from the Hook of Holland Strand train station. Lots of cycling opportunities all through out the area.
