Here is a summary of the book from Kirsten’s website:

In her latest book, Kirsten’s photography celebrates Biscayne National Park as it is today for the Park’s golden 50-year anniversary. This book captures in words and images the story of the Park from before its European discovery in the 1500s, to its designation as a national monument in 1968, to now. For the last 50 years the Park has protected the bulk of Biscayne Bay, its Caribbean-style limestone islands topped with tropical forest, its coral reefs, its wildlife, its remnants of a rich human history and its recreational opportunities that continue to attract half a million visitors a year.

South Florida’s Biscayne Bay, its keys, the coral reef and the national park that protects them are celebrated in a new book, Biscayne National Park, featuring the photography of Kirsten Hines and historic images that together tell 300 years of Biscayne’s story.

Westward Reflections

Sometimes the fishing ain’t that great, but you still get quite a reward. On a calm evening, with only a few bites, I watched as the sunset turned incredible before my eyes. The smooth lake created a perfect reflection of the sky above.
