Air France is adding a second service to Guadaloupe, in the Caribbean. The new route, from Atlanta, will be the only non-stop on the route. AF already flies there from Miami.
Most Air France flights leaving the U.S. are on large planes headed for Europe, but the airline has based smaller A320s here to fly routes between the U.S. and French territories on the American side of the ocean. Because Guadaloupe, Martinique and Guyane are technically part of France, the flights are covered by the Open Skies agreements that cover international service.
Aside from serving U.S. vacation travelers, the flights also provide added connections for travelers between France and its Caribbean regions.
