I visited The Grand Canyon in January and was a little saddened to wake up that morning to see that lots of snow had fallen in the night and I immediately thought that it would impact the view in a negative way. It did not! It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and by the time we arrived, the snow was melting and the sky was clear. Supposedly it was clearer than it had been for a while as the smog from LA and other cities out west blow in and give everything a slightly hazy look. It was glorious, the colours and contrasts were magnificent and the snow added to the splendour. An unforgettable day!
